Who we are

Hushimal is operated by Uplevel Labs, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Hushimal you agree to these terms. If you are using a business, team or enterprise plan, you agree to them on behalf of your organisation.

Who sells your subscription

All purchases, subscriptions, gift memberships and one-time payments made through Hushimal are sold by our payment partner Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and seller of record for those transactions. Paddle processes the payment, issues the invoice, calculates and remits applicable sales tax or VAT, and handles refund and chargeback administration. Hushimal receives your purchase and subscription status, but never your full card details.

What Hushimal is

Hushimal provides wellness audio, narrated stories, and guided owner-and-pet activities intended to support calm. Sessions are tuned to the hearing range and resting heart rate of the animal type you select.

Hushimal is not veterinary care

Hushimal does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or behaviour condition, and is not a substitute for veterinary advice, diagnosis, medication, or emergency care. Sudden or severe distress, self-injury, aggression, or loss of appetite needs a veterinarian. Stop playback immediately if your animal shows increased distress, and lower the volume to a level at which the animal remains settled.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You must be at least the age of majority where you live.

Your pet profile and your data

Your pet profile, progress, stories and activities are stored with your account so they follow you across devices. You can edit or delete this information, or delete your account, at any time; see our Privacy page for how to do it.

Owner voice and AI-narrated stories

The owner-voice feature lets a Hushimal+ member record a short sample of their own voice, which is used to create a personalised voice so that generated stories can be narrated in that voice. You confirm that the sample is your own voice, or the voice of a person who has given you permission, before it is used. Voice samples, the resulting voice, generated stories and narration audio stay private to your account and are served only to you through short-lived private links. You can delete your voice and any story at any time, and we stop using the voice as soon as you delete it. We may refuse or remove content that is abusive, harmful, or unlawful.

Acceptable use

Do not resell, rent, sublicense, copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with Hushimal or its infrastructure; do not use it to store or transmit unlawful, harmful or infringing material; do not share your account credentials; and do not attempt to access features you have not been granted.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Hushimal available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Features, sessions and plans may change. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect a paid subscription, and you may cancel before those changes take effect.

Billing

Paid access is billed through Paddle as described in our Subscription terms, including the seven-day trial, automatic renewal, cancellation, plan changes and refunds.

Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of the date a charge was made. Requests received within that window are refunded in full to the original payment method. After 14 days, recurring plans can be cancelled at any time and access continues to the end of the paid period. Refund requests are handled by Paddle on our behalf; contact us at support@hushimal.com and we will process it.

Disclaimer of warranties

Hushimal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We make no promise that any session, story or activity will produce a particular result for any individual animal.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Uplevel Labs, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Hushimal in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or gross negligence.

Termination

You may stop using Hushimal and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts other users, animals, or our service at risk. On closure, any paid period that has already started continues unless the closure follows serious misuse.

Third-party services

Hushimal relies on partners for authentication, hosting, payments (Paddle), text generation and voice synthesis. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do with the data they process for us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and continued use after that date means you accept the update.
