Freezing, repeated thumping, hiding, tense posture or reduced eating may reflect fear or illness. A still rabbit is not necessarily a relaxed rabbit.
Reduced appetite or fewer droppings need urgent rabbit-savvy veterinary advice. Do not assume gut changes are simply anxiety.
A gentle layer of support
Alongside appropriate care, try brief, low-volume sessions while you’re present. Your animal should always be able to move away. Stop if sound or interaction increases distress.
